Each book in the series «Dino Friends» tells about one day in the life of the Tyrannosaurus Rasmus Rex and his best friend Trim Troodon. On that day, Rasmus and Trim were playing at Trim's grandfather's house when the postman brought a letter from Aunt Troodon. She wrote that far, far away, beyond the swamp forest, at the top of the Great Pine, she noticed a nest, and in the nest, a discarded egg. The parents had disappeared, but a huge dinosaur was flying nearby. How to save the future baby if you can't reach the nest from the ground? Trim suggested flying there in a hot air balloon, which just happened to be found in his grandfather's secret room of mechanisms and inventions. The balloon wouldn't lift the grandfather – he was too heavy. So, they would fly with Rasmus, as the lightest and youngest. That's what Trim decided, but Rasmus was terribly afraid of heights, and he didn't like this idea at first. However, later he felt sorry for the orphaned egg, and with a heavy heart, he agreed to go on a long and dangerous flight with his best friend.
The series of books about the adventures of the dino friends was created and illustrated by writer Lars Mele and artist Lars Rudebjer. Together they created an entire land of Dinoland, where something funny and unexpected awaits children on every page. The book has many dialogues, making it perfect for reading aloud and role-playing with children from 4 years old.
In addition to the captivating plot and charming characters, the book includes a small educational section that explains who dinosaurs are, when they lived on Earth, and why they disappeared. It also presents interesting facts about flying dinosaurs that can be found on the pages of this book.
