Vasyutkino Lake. Stories

Viktor Astafyev (1924 – 2001) – Russian, Soviet writer, dramatist. He made a huge contribution to national literature. The greatest writer in the genre of "village" and military prose, participant in the Great Patriotic War. "Vasyutkino Lake" is a story about a 13-year-old boy who got lost in the harsh Siberian taiga. There he spends several cold and hungry days. He recalls his grandfather's and father's advice, thanks to which he not only survives but also discovers an unknown lake rich in fish. The lake is called Vasyutkino Lake. The book also includes the stories "Why Did I Kill the Corncrake?", "Mila and the Cat Gromilo", and "Not Enough Heart".
