The book by Heloise Quinn, «Gods and Goddesses of Wales: A Practical Introduction to the World of Welsh Deities and Their Mythology», is a guide
on building a practice of spiritual interaction with the deities of the Welsh tradition. It includes stories of the deeds of Prince Pwyll, his beloved Rhiannon, wise King Bran, the cunning Manawidan ap Llŷr, great magicians Mata ap Matonwy and Gwydion, the foremost among bards Taliesin, and many other inhabitants of Welsh mythology. The author discusses the practice of «acquaintance» and working with these deities, revealing their character, properties, and pointing out their significance for people in the modern world.
John Michael Greer’s treatise «Coelbren: The Forgotten Oracle of the Welsh Bards» tells about one of the least known magical alphabets of Europe – the Welsh Coelbren. This type of cryptography was created (possibly based on earlier writing systems that have not survived to us) by Iolo Morganwg (1747 – 1826), the founder of the Welsh bardic movement; in the 19th century, it was used by bards to record their poetic works in the spirit of ancient poetry, but was later completely forgotten. Greer returns this alphabet to the modern world as a tool for divination.
