Chernihivka

The trilogy by Frida Abramovna Vigdorova about life in orphanages concludes with the story "Chernihivka". The wife of Semyon Karabanov becomes the director of the orphanage and takes on the care of the children when her husband goes off to the outbreak of war. The hardships of life during wartime are reflected in the concluding book - hunger, cold, death, loss of loved ones, but most importantly - hope for a better future, as they have nothing else left.
