10 Questions About the Sun

The series «Astro-Literacy with Pulya and Karl» was developed by astrophysicists for a first introduction for children and adults to the whole Universe.

Today, on the schedule – an introduction to the Sun. What is our star made of? Where does it get so much energy from? Is it possible to land on it? The romantic space dog Pulya and her friendly flea Karl will tell readers everything they know about their native luminary.

The authors of the book – candidates of physical and mathematical sciences Elena Kirichek and Ivan Panchenko – have translated scientific facts into a language that is clear and accessible to everyone. The scientific consultant for the publication is the head of the solar physics department of the Main (Pulkovo) Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Alexander Solovyev. The illustrations were created by Diana Narkhova.
