.A lot has been said about esoteric trends in Russian literature. Occultism, Kabbalah, Goetia, Vedas, and other directions have been repeatedly covered in many books, including those of our publishing house. However, all these years there has been one significant gap in Russian esoteric literature: books on Martinism. A mysterious teaching from the 19th century, whose name and essence remains a mystery to many who have linked their lives to esotericism. What is Martinism, and what current of it do we want to present to you in our new book? «Martinism of the Unknown Philosopher» is a manuscript about one whom masters such as Papus, Eliphas Levi, Arthur Waite, and Helena Blavatsky highly valued. Louis Saint-Martin, also known as Louis Claude de Saint-Martin, left behind a rich legacy, and only a tiny part of it has been published in Russian. Behind the cover of this book lies the work not only of the translator but also of a researcher of Saint-Martin's works.

An incredible mix of Kabbalistic, alchemical, and theosophical practices, through which Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin sought to show the reader the essence of the Divine Word, the Absolute, the Ineffable. A chronology of followers and predecessors of Louis-Claude de Saint-Martin that will shed light on the origins and mysteries of Martinism: from Martinez de Pasqually to the Order of Martinists, which continues to exist in many countries, including Russia.
