The Mitten. Ukrainian Folk Tale

The plot of the Ukrainian folk tale "The Mitten" is similar to the plot of the Russian folk tale "The Teremok": an old man went to the forest for firewood; he walked and walked and didn't notice how he lost his mitten. A mouse ran by, saw the mitten, and decided to settle in it. Then a frog jumped in, a bunny came, then a fox, after the fox a wolf, a boar, and a bear. As always happens in a fairy tale, there was enough room for everyone!
The book is illustrated by the famous artist Yevgeny Rachev. It features drawings from the first and most famous version - the one that is now preserved in art museums around the world. One drawing is published for the first time.
