Without Family

The main character of the novella by the French writer Hector Malot is a boy named Remi, an abandoned child who has never known his biological family. Life is unfair to him and often cruel: against his will, he becomes a wandering artist, roams and goes hungry, but retains kindness and love for his loved ones. What awaits him at the end of the road?
The illustrations by Olga Fadeeva are marked by the same piercing tenderness and purity as the small hero himself.
