The Boy from the Matchbox

He was called the Little Man, and he slept in a matchbox. Although, of course, he had a perfectly ordinary human name: Max Pichelsteiner, or just Maxik. No one would have recognized him, in fact, no one would have even noticed him! — but fate brought him to the circus of Mr. Grozovetter and made him the partner of the great magician Yokusa von Pokusa. Their joint act turned Yokusa and Maxik into true stars. However, soon this story took an unexpected and, one might say, detective turn.
