Kalmyk Tales. Mangas and the Three Brave Brothers

Kalmykia is a large region in the southeast of our country, known for its beautiful endless steppes, scorched by the sun and blown by hot winds. The Kalmyks are a nomadic people. For many centuries, they have roamed these steppes with their portable homes called kibitkas, driving their livestock to new pastures while sharing legends and tales along the way. Their stories are about ancient spirits and multi-headed monsters, brave and valiant heroes and their faithful horses, about the rebirth of souls, and, of course, about their native nature.
