Cossack Tales. The Magic Bead

Many centuries ago, free people settled on the borders of our vast country and called themselves Cossacks. They lived in stanitsa villages, cultivated fertile lands along the banks of great rivers - the Don, Kuban, and Dnieper, and simultaneously served in the army of the Russian tsars. This is what distinguished them from ordinary peasants. The Cossacks have, and still have, their own special folk songs, rituals and traditions, their own holidays and cuisine, and of course, wonderful folk tales.
