The Tale of the Northern Lake

Despite their efforts to raise their biological daughter and adopted son as true brother and sister, it seems that every year they have less in common. Kind and generous Ainikki is the favorite of all, while no one can get along with the sullen, brooding Ahti. The only exception is the cold blue lake, which always gives him peace and freedom, a feeling that somehow brings pain to his chest. When Ahti realizes that Ainikki has a mysterious power over the lake and can command the waves, envy, jealousy, and loneliness drive him away from home—to where a malignant force awaits him, lurking all this time for its prey... To save themselves, Ainikki and Ahti must not only traverse the underground kingdom and battle the monstrous master of the depths. The brother and sister need to discover their main strength and understand why the magical world is so eager to possess them, and above all, learn to accept each other.
