But suddenly, it turns out that the clever and honest boy has made himself an enemy…
Despite the fact that this story immerses us in the life of the Netherlands in the 17th century, it is easy to read: the exciting adventures become a backdrop for the hero's coming of age, and his desire to understand people and influence his future cannot help but evoke sympathy. The dynamic plot will appeal to both younger teenagers and those who are older.
Nikolai Nazarikin is a writer, bibliotherapist, and laureate of the «Desired Dream», «Kniguru», and «Salamander» awards. He lived in the Netherlands for over 20 years, where he worked in a historical museum.
