Lewis Carroll (1832–1898) was a man of many talents: mathematician, philosopher, photographer, and even a clergyman.
But nonetheless, it was his writing that brought him the greatest fame. The witty and convoluted story of the adventures of a girl named Alice in Wonderland quickly won the hearts of readers.
One and a half centuries later, the book, full of amusing tall tales, dizzying paradoxes, and real wonders, remains one of the greatest fairy tales in the history of literature.
