Deserts: One Year in the Life of the Hottest Biome

Are deserts dead, uninhabitable, abandoned, and useless? Not at all! You just need to look at them through the eyes of a naturalist-traveler! We embark on a journey through the most amazing landscapes, where we will encounter fantastic plants and animals that have adapted to live and thrive in the harshest conditions!

As scientists claim, deserts have existed throughout all periods of our planet's history. The outlines of continents and oceans have changed. Landscapes, the composition of the atmosphere, and climate have changed. One geological era has replaced another. But ecosystems have always emerged that, for some reason, lacked water.  Today, there are deserts in almost every part of the world, in different climatic zones: temperate, subtropical, and tropical.

So, let's go forward — Africa, Asia, America, and Australia await us! We will visit the Gobi and Mojave Deserts, the Kalahari and Sahara, in Namibia, Taklamakan, and Atacama!
