The artist Virginijus Poshkus successfully transformed and improved this beloved piece of art.
His carefully selected palette of bright colors brought new energy and brightness, and by replacing Smith's thick black outlines with fine strokes, he added depth to the familiar scenes.
The shining brightness of the Rider-Waite emphasizes the traditional symbolism that tarot readers around the world cherish.
The design of the back of the cards has also been updated – now it features a starry sky.
The deck comes with instructions in Russian, with an introduction by Stuart R. Kaplan.
