Uncle Fyodor is not really an "uncle", but a boy who is just very independent and serious.

He also loves animals. But his parents don’t want to hear anything about having someone furry or hairy in their apartment.

So Uncle Fyodor and his new friend — the talking cat Matroskin — have to go live in the village of Prostokvashino.

There they meet the dog Sharik, the restless crow chick Khvataika, and the mean postman Pechkin.
