Anya Here and There

The life of little Anya flows steadily and happily. In summer - in the village, with blueberry fields, tall pines, and a warm lake. And in winter in Moscow, with the Tretyakov Gallery and gifts from "Children's World". But one day this life comes to an end. Now Anya lives in New York. While her parents study at the university, she attends an American school, has sandwiches with jam for lunch instead of soup, seeks new friends, and gets used to going outside without a hat. Maria Danilova's story "Anya Here and There" reached the finals of the Krapivin Children's Literature Award in 2020. It is a tale of growing up between two cultures, about how important it is, no matter where you are, to know that you can always return home.
