A prissy and nervous Miss Agatha arrives in the village from Warsaw. She brings with her two dogs – Mikado and Sandik. Spoiled by the boredom of city life, the dogs have no idea what life in the countryside is... like. The rules of village life will be explained to them by two close canine friends – Tuzik and Ryzhy. The story "Tuzik, Ryzhy, and Guests" is one of the funniest and most touching tales by Polish animal writer Jan Grabowski (1882–1950) in a brilliant translation by Boris Zahoder. The talent of a keen observer allowed the writer to humanize the four-legged heroes. He had a unique ability to write humorously and kindly about pets.
