General Astrology. Aspects. Part 4

We present to you the book "Aspects", the fourth part of the series "General Astrology" by the famous Russian astrologer, esotericist, psychologist, philosopher, writer, and poet Avessalom Podvodny. "General Astrology" is the first systematic course of classical astrology in Russia. The distinctive feature of the course is the psychological elaboration of basic astrological concepts and ideas. In the fourth part, the author describes the arc aspects between the planets of the horoscope, showing the specific types of mutual influence of fundamental energy principles for that individual. Both major (conjunction, opposition, trine, square) and minor aspects (semisquare, semisextile, quintile, etc.) are considered. Arc aspects are characterized by a certain arc between sensitive points of the horoscope (in contrast to positional aspects, which denote the belonging of a sensitive point to a particular sign or house). There are many such sensitive points in the horoscope: these are planets, lunar nodes, house cusps, parts (Arabic parts), etc. Accordingly, there are many arc aspects in the horoscope, and they all carry certain information. However, for a beginner astrologer, it is better to limit oneself to the most important sensitive points of the chart: planets, lunar nodes, and major aspects between them, namely conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition, since in most cases, it is they that provide the main pattern of the arrangement of forces in external circumstances and the inner life of a person.
