Medieval Witch Trials

Before you is a book that has become a kind of classic. "Medieval Witch Trials" is a text that tells the reader about the deeds of the Holy Inquisition in all its colors. The author, Yakov Kantorovich, divided his work into nine chapters. In them, he sequentially introduces the reader to the details of court trials for those called "servants of Satan".

It can be said that this book is a kind of response to the famous "Hammer of Witches". Essentially, Kantorovich tells of the same events - methods of interrogations, prisons, the halo surrounding the names and images of any dark forces in those times - but does so not from the perspective of the inquisitors, nor even from the perspective of the "accused". Yakov Kantorovich approaches the matter as thoroughly and academically as possible, page by page introducing his reader to the reality of those centuries and providing excerpts from various sources to support his words.
