The book we present to your attention once caused a wide resonance in society. The author was tearfully thanked for it, it was horrified, Dr. Pibbles [the author] was threatened and wished death for publishing such material. And today, the content of this book is not only a most intriguing monument of history but also a wonderful gift for all who are fascinated by the idea of the otherworldly. So, what kind of book is this? The first publication of 'Demonology...' came in 1904, at the very beginning of the 20th century - a time when science and progress fiercely captured society, while society stubbornly resisted it. The Curies were working on their projects, the third Olympic Games were being launched, and the Russo-Japanese War was underway. Interest in the otherworldly at the beginning of the 20th century was relatively high, and only a few years remained since the first publication of the famous Tarot by Arthur Waite. It was then that the book 'The Demonism of the Ages' saw the light in Los Angeles. It could rightly be called the most comprehensive study of spirits and demons, as well as of people who were influenced by them - the possessed. And if Allan Kardec's 'Book of Spirits', by that time already fifty years old, could have become the Bible of Spiritualism, then 'Demonology of All Times' was more like all the textbooks gathered in one. One of the characteristics given to the manuscript was 'an impartial representation of irreligious materialistic spiritualism.' This description sounds quite strange; 'materialistic spiritualism' was an uncommon phenomenon at the beginning of the 20th century, and indeed in general. However, this description characterizes the book as accurately as possible.
