The Book of Black Magic and Pacts

The work of Arthur Edward Waite "The Book of Black Magic and Pacts" is an attempt to document various well-known grimoires, explain the history behind them, discuss the theology contained within them (for example, raise the question of why good angels would be summoned to kill an enemy), and combine many known grimoires into one system. We present to you the translation of this work and invite you to familiarize yourself with it. 

For convenience, the book is divided into two parts. The first contains an analytical and critical evaluation of the main magical rituals known to the author; the second is a complete grimoire of black magic. It is important not to forget that this activity handed weapons to the inquisitors and, according to the prevailing opinion of that time, justified the bloody decrees of civil tribunals directed against witches, magicians, and sorcerers.
