Mountain Man

Petya Semyonov lives in an estate with his mother. His mother is ill, and Petya takes care of her as best as he can. He also manages all the serfs and oversees the household, even though he is only 12 years old.

Petya dreams of distant lands, but for now, he looks at the world through the books in his father's library, studying the flowers in the forest. He doesn't even know that far away, mighty mountains await him, for which he will receive the second part of his surname – Tyan-Shansky.

«Mountain Man» – is a story of growing up and the amazing journey that an ordinary boy from the 19th century will take to become one of the most famous scholars, travelers, and pioneers in Russia.
