The Witch, the Cat and the Affair in the Hat

Seven-year-old Genka's parents disappear without a trace in the distant African jungle. Only a miracle can bring them back. And where do miracles happen? Of course, in the attic of the mean witch living next door. It doesn't matter that... the house is teeming with poisonous snakes and bloodthirsty giants, Genka is ready for any feats for the sake of his parents.
 
But it turns out that he is not the only one dreaming of a miracle: in the attic, Genka meets Mr. Black, a wizard who was turned into a cat by the witch who lived here a hundred years ago. Mr. Black is searching for a magical crystal that can grant two wishes once every hundred years.
