The Wizard of the Emerald City

The book presents the famous fairy tale by Alexander Melentievich Volkov (1891–1977) "The Wizard of the Emerald City." In it, young Ellie from Kansas unexpectedly finds herself in a magical land filled with wonderful wonders and terrible dangers. To return home, the girl must embark on a long journey and meet the most unusual creatures. The detailed colored illustrations included in this edition were created by the talented artist Dmitry Nikulushkin (1966).
