The manual is a component of the set "Step one, step two..." for children aged 5-6 and 6-7 years. The set also includes a program and methodological recommendations, which describe the system of work for forming mathematical concepts in preschoolers, developing thinking, creative abilities, and interest in mathematics.

The "Step one, step two..." set can be used in the preschool education system as the starting link of the continuous mathematics course "Learning to Learn" (L. G. Peterson, G. V. Dorofeev, N. X. Agakhanov, et al.) for grades 1-9, as well as for individual work of parents with children.
