At the Circus

«At the Circus. A Story in Pictures» – is an engaging illustrated story about how a circus arrived in a small town, and in the evening all the residents rushed to the fantastic performance. Children love the circus, so a child will not get bored looking at learned elephants, camels, and lumberjacks.

You can get to know the characters Goebel and Knorr – their names and portraits are on the cover – or you can come up with names for them and follow their adventures. After all, the arrival of the circus is a real adventure. It's not every day that elephants, monkeys, donkeys, camels, and bears are led down the streets along with barking «pups».

The book has a continuous plot that the child can trace and retell, examining each character on each page. In this way, the little one, either alone or with the help of adults, learns not only about how to set up a tent or what a circus tent show is but also learns to understand other people, their actions, and deeds. In this regard, «At the Circus» can be placed on the same level as Nikolai Radlov's famous «Tales in Pictures». Goebel and Knorr's book is also useful for working with children by speech therapists, educators, and psychologists.

The artistry of detail in Goebel and Knorr is almost like in French painting of the 18th century, only – for children.
