Dinosaur Friends. Super Race

Each book in the series «Dinosaur Friends» tells about one day in the life of Tyrannosaurus Rasmus Rex and his best friend Trim Troodon. That day, the Super Race of the Swamp Forest started in Dinosauria. It was held in... Dinosauria every year, but before, Rasmus and Trim couldn't participate — they didn't have a vehicle. But this year they got a car. Trim accidentally found it in his grandfather's secret room of mechanisms and inventions and persuaded his grandfather to prepare the car for the Super Race. Grandfather Troodon came up with a bunch of useful gadgets, and the old car transformed — it became fast, maneuverable, and safe. For the first time in their lives, driver Trim and navigator Rasmus had to complete a very complex track. Despite this, Trim was confident that they would win. Rasmus, on the contrary, doubted that they could overcome all obstacles and defeat Freddy Fukuiraptor — the super racer who had been the winner for the last five years. The friends didn't win the race, but they exposed the cheater and poor champion Freddy Fukuiraptor.  

The series about the adventures of the dinosaur friends was created and illustrated by writer Lars Mele and artist Lars Rudebjer. Together they created an entire country called Dinosauria, where on every page a child can find something funny and unexpected. The book has many dialogues, making it great for reading aloud and acting out with children from 4 years old.

Besides the engaging plot and charming characters, the book includes a small educational section. It tells about which dinosaurs were the fastest (without any vehicles) and how scientists know at what speed dinosaurs ran — after all, they all went extinct a long time ago!
