Hansel and Gretel. Magical Tales and Legends

On a path strewn with bread crumbs, we will journey into the world of tales and legends, mysterious and somewhat frightening, like a dense forest. From Hansel and Gretel, we will learn not to give up in the most hopeless... situations, with the Bremen Musicians we will value friendship and mutual assistance, from the Brave Little Tailor we will gather courage and resourcefulness, and with Snow White we will see that kindness and a pure heart always triumph over evil and treachery.
 
Folk tales and legends, passed down orally through generations of Germans, were collected meticulously and lovingly by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. It is no coincidence that their collection "Children's and Household Tales" is included in UNESCO's Memory of the World register as a unique example of preserving Germany's cultural traditions.
 
Expressive graphics by German and English artists allow one to immerse in the atmosphere of adventure and the inevitable victory of good over evil. Artist Philipp Groth-Johann called his illustrations for the gift edition of the tales the main work of his life. The exquisite color illustrations by Karl Offterdinger and Alexander Zick convey the spirit of the time and the tales themselves, enchanting and sometimes harsh.
