My Friends - Ghosts

Sandra is the perfect child. She goes to bed on time, reminds her parents to take the chicken out of the freezer, and goes to school to see her teacher. After all, her parents are not professionals, but beginners compared to the mothers and fathers of other children. That's where their daughter helps them.
However, with such responsibility, Sandra is the shyest and most fearful girl in the world! She is afraid to communicate with her peers, and her classmates laugh at her in the prestigious school she attends at the insistence of her domineering grandmother.
Everything changes when she makes friends: a zombie dog, a mummy cat, and other creatures. Will her ghost friends help Sandra find companions? Will they affect her communication with her parents? And what will happen to her grandmother, who always knows better what her loved ones need?..
Anna Manso (1969) lives in Barcelona. She writes in Catalan and translates her texts into Spanish herself. In 2016, she received a literary award in children's and youth literature for the book "My Friends - Ghosts." The story about the importance of understanding loved ones and accepting them as they are was illustrated by Katya Varzhuntovich, showing the characters in bright and slightly magical ways.
