Tim Thaler

James Krüss wrote the novella "Tim Thaler, or The Sold Laughter" back in 1962. However, reading it now, it's almost impossible to believe this - the plot seems so modern, as does the language in which the book is written. This is the very classic that does not age with time. More than one generation of readers has grown up on this novella.
