Three Golden Hairs

«Three Golden Hairs» by the Brothers Grimm is a fairy tale about courage, resourcefulness, and kindness towards people. It will be enjoyed by children aged 5 and older. With the humor and cheerfulness characteristic of the German people, it tells the story of how a simple young man punished an evil and cowardly king. By a happy chance, he married the royal daughter and, fulfilling the dangerous whim of the king, went to hell to obtain three golden hairs from the devil's head. Along the way, he helped the residents of three cities learn from the devil the answers to tricky riddles and rid them of what troubled their peaceful lives. Upon returning, he punished the greedy king and became king himself.
