Tales in the Masterpieces of Russian Illustration

"Sadko", "Sivka-Burka", "Marya Morevna", "Snegurochka"... - 30 Russian fairy tales are presented to us with rare illustrations by masters of book graphics from the 19th to early 20th century. Georgy Narbut (1886-1920), Elena Polenova (1850-1898), Ernst Lissner (1874-1941), Boris Zvorykin... (1872-1942) and many others - before the revolution, their works were no less known than the famous illustrations of Ivan Bilibin.
Today, the books they illustrated have become collectible rarities.

Most of the illustrations presented in the publication are returning for the first time in a whole century - as are some Russian fairy tales, practically unknown to the modern reader: "The Wooden Eagle", "The Tsar's Pearl", "The Mosquito and the Swallow"...
