The parents of fifth-grader Pavlik Komarov send him for the summer to a provincial town to live with his great-grandmother, whom he has never seen before. On the very first day, due to a fateful turn of events, he finds himself... caught up in a detective story: his new friends are seeking revenge on a local villain, and Pavlik, whether he likes it or not, has to help them. And now the police, who are certainly also for the truth, are already on the trail of the young fighters for justice. Two Truths are about to destroy each other! Only the great-grandmother can save the situation. For that, she needs the help of all the townspeople, as well as a famous artist who is going through a creative crisis along with his cat. But none of them even suspect their role in the events…

The plotlines of the young and adult heroes intertwine in an exciting intrigue, which resolves in the most paradoxical way in the finale. The brilliant Russian language of the story turns reading into pleasure.
