Sailings of Solnyshkin

Cheerful tales about the adventures of sailor Solnyshkin and his friends, about their extraordinary voyages to the shores of Kamchatka, Antarctica, and to distant tropical islands were written by the author for over thirty years. The main character of Vitaly Korzhikov's tales, a boy from a remote Siberian village, Alexey Solnyshkin, always dreamed of seeing the world. Therefore, when his grandmother sent him from the taiga to the nearest city to enroll in a school, the boy traveled to the edge of the earth — to the port city of Okeansk. There it turned out that Solnyshkin was unfit for the maritime school — too young, he needed to grow up!

However, he became a sailor on the steamship “Give It!” It’s a pity that the captain of the ship turned out to be a complete good-for-nothing. For any question, he had one answer: “We’ve sailed — we know!” With such a commander, it’s no wonder to run aground. 

However, for the young adventurer, any difficulties are manageable, for it is this kind of life that he aspired to — the life of a true sea wolf!
