Birch Grove Forever

The events of the story take place in the early 1980s in a mining town in northern Canada. The main character is a high school senior nicknamed Wolf Cub, who, along with her three best friends, often spends time in their beloved Birch Grove. There, the girls built a forest hut — their secret place, a hidden refuge. When misfortune befalls the Birch Grove, Wolf Cub remembers that her ancestors could talk to the trees. Perhaps it is time to find out whether this gift has been passed down and whether it will help save what is dear to all the townspeople — the precious nature and the monuments of ancient art
