Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy (1828 — 1910) — a great Russian writer, known worldwide. He cared about children's literacy, which is why he wrote four reading books that included not only stories, fables, myths, and riddles but also recommendations for teachers. The books were united under the common title «Alphabet». Works from these books are included in our collection: «Philipok», «The Bone», «The Jump», «The Lion and the Puppy», «The Fire», «The Three Bears» and others.
