Fables

The fables of I. A. Krylov are a genuine collection of wisdom and an inexhaustible source of unwritten life rules, presented to readers in a witty, allegorical form, making them easy and firmly absorbed. The book includes over 60 works, from the most famous ("The Grasshopper and the Ant", "The Crow and the Fox", "The Swan, the Pike, and the Crab") to those that are rarely encountered ("The Slanderer and the Snake", "The Rudd"). Bright, expressive illustrations for the fables were created by the people's artist of Russia, Anatoly Eliseev.
