In the publishing house "Nigma", a fairy tale by the English writer, publisher, and journalist Archibald Marshall (1866-1934) has been released in the new series "Open the Tale".
Archibald Marshall is the author of over fifty works for children and adults.... He was friends with Gilbert Keith Chesterton, wrote for the Daily News and Punch magazine. His work is not as widely known in Russia as in English-speaking countries. The publishing house "Nigma" offers a translation of one of his classic fairy tales, created for this book by children's literature expert Olga Nikolaevna Miaëots. In one kingdom, there lived a terrible dragon that tormented the local residents for a long time. The king, wishing to rid the land of this fearsome monster, announced a reward for anyone who could defeat the dragon. The winner would be promised the hand of the princess and half the kingdom to boot! Many princes dreamed of victory, but none of them could overcome the dragon.
