In the mid-twentieth century, the renowned Buddhist teacher and scholar Khenpo Gangshar imparted teachings in an astonishing new manner, allowing those who heard them to use the arising difficulties as a Dharma practice.

The teachings consisted of essential points of Mahamudra and Dzogchen and contained views and practices presented in such a way that any student could utilize them even in the most challenging conditions.
