Ramana Maharshi (1879-1950) is widely recognized as one of the greatest Indian spiritual teachers of modern times. At the age of 16, he spontaneously attained self-realization (enlightenment), without relying on any teachings, sacred scriptures, or practices. Annamalai Swami is a close disciple of Ramana Maharshi. Selflessly serving his Teacher, spending many years in his presence, and persistently following the practice of self-inquiry, he also eventually attained self-realization. In the 1980s, visitors began to come to him to clarify questions related to the teachings of Ramana Maharshi and to receive guidance. This book contains the diaries of Annamalai, in which he recorded conversations with Ramana Maharshi during his apprenticeship, and responses to questions posed to Annamalai by visitors in the 1980s and 1990s, edited by David Godman. . . .
