Revealing the Dharma

The Venerable Balangoda Ananda Maîtreya (1896-1998) — one of the most famous Buddhist teachers of the 20th century, a scholar, an expert in canonical scriptures, renowned as a great practitioner who realized all stages of Buddhist meditation. The book «Revealing... the Dharma» introduces readers to various aspects of early Buddhism of the Theravada school, as well as to the unique spiritual experience of the meditation master Mahathero Ananda Maîtreya.
The first part of the book includes materials from the London archive of the Ananda Maîtreya Foundation, which have never been published before either in Russia or abroad. Lectures and private conversations with Mahathero Ananda Maîtreya reveal the subtleties of Buddhist teachings and illuminate various spiritual questions that go beyond canonical texts.
The second part presents the biography of Mahathero, compiled by the monk Ittepanoi Dhammalankara. In response to the author's questions, Mahathero Ananda Maîtreya shares with readers the remarkable details of his life dedicated to spiritual search, the practice of Buddhism, and service to the world.
