Yogin Sri Krishnaprem

Dilip Kumar Roy (1897–1980) — a scion of one of the most aristocratic families in Bengal, a prominent figure in the cultural renaissance of India, an outstanding musician — singer and composer, author of numerous books, and a spiritual teacher.... He was a disciple of Sri Aurobindo and a friend of Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Romain Rolland, and Bertrand Russell.
This book is dedicated by Dilip Kumar Roy to Sri Krishnaprem, his senior companion on the spiritual path, an extraordinary mystic and philosopher, who, according to the words of Ramana Maharshi, was a "rare combination of jnani and bhakti".
Originally from England, Krishnaprem lived in India for a total of thirty-five years. He was one of those few Europeans who became a spiritual teacher for many Indians, who revered him as a saint. His personality vividly embodied what is called parabhakti, the highest love. His love for Lord Krishna was illuminated by a deep philosophical understanding of the object of love. Overcoming national and caste barriers, absorbing the spiritual teachings of the great rishis and saints of India, and living a righteous life, he revived and reinforced in Indians respect for their spiritual heritage.
The book contains the most valuable teachings and important letters of Krishnaprem, as well as remarkable stories from his life. It also includes the correspondence of Dilip Kumar Roy with Sri Aurobindo.
