The Adventures of Pencil and Samodelkin

Many years ago, the famous children's writer Yuri Mikhailovich Druzhkov came up with an exciting fairy tale about the extraordinary adventures of two cheerful little people. The magical artist Pencil could draw pictures that came to life, and the wonderful... master Samodelkin could fix anything. 
Young readers immediately fell in love with the amazing heroes. But letters soon began to arrive from parents whose children were just starting to learn to read. Parents earnestly asked Yuri Druzhkov to create a book about Pencil and Samodelkin that even small children could read independently. And of course, Yuri Mikhailovich could not refuse this request. He began preparing a shortened version of «The Adventures». This work was completed by Yuri Druzhkov's son, the popular contemporary storyteller Valentin Postnikov.
