The Stars of the Shaman: The Philosophy of the Shaman

Vladimir Serkin, professor, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, worked for 24 years at the Northeast Federal University (Magadan). Since 2011, he has been a professor in the Department of Psychology at the Higher School of Economics (Moscow). He has published more... than 150 scientific works, including several monographs, textbooks on psychosomatics, and methodology of psychology.

The books "The Laughter of the Shaman" ("The Freedom of the Shaman"), "The Stars of the Shaman", "The Thinking of the Shaman" (popular science) have been reissued several dozen times and translated into Bulgarian, Lithuanian, and German. The book "The Stars of the Shaman" (the philosophy of the Shaman) continues to describe the dialogues, unusual practices, lifestyle, and worldview of a person whom others consider a shaman.
The shaman has lived alone for many years in the permafrost zone without any support from society. At the same time, he is "pathologically healthy", practical, and rational, periodically visiting cities to explore new relationships, practices, and tools of the developing society. Many of his reflections and advice are striking in their paradoxicality, yet often help to change one's life toward greater spirituality, meaning, humanity, health, organization, and security.
