Evan Dara — one of the most mysterious authors of our time. This name and surname are a pseudonym of a writer whom no one has ever seen in person. He does not give interviews and does not take photographs,... and values anonymity to such an extent that he even publishes his books through his own small publishing house, Aurora 148.
The author's literary debut was «The Lost Album» (1995). The book won the 12th annual National Contest of Fiction of the University of Illinois. The writer's books are studied at universities, dedicated to scholarly articles, and compared to the works of Faulkner, Melville, Kerouac, and other iconic American authors.
On some island, a young American — lonely, but unbroken — struggles with constant instability. An earthquake has been continuing here for several months, with no signs that it will end soon.
One of those books that reminds me why I love to read. I read it in about a day and a half and can't wait to read it again. The idea is extremely original, but it is the execution that makes this novel great… A brilliant book by one of the greatest contemporary American authors.
