Sergey Korolev is one of the founders of the Russian space industry, a talented engineer and an outstanding scientist who was able to turn the dream of space into reality.
Korolev started out designing airplanes and gliders, many of which he piloted himself. Seeing the potential of the rocket engine, he ventured into a new field and instantly became its leader. By bringing together a team of talented engineers, he was able to develop the first intercontinental missile, the R-7, in an extremely short period, which enabled the launch of the first satellite into orbit and, after further modifications, the first human into space. Under his leadership, the development of the spacecraft 'Soyuz' began, which still flies today in various modifications.
