Autumn Day

Ivan Bunin in poetry was exactly the same as in prose, - an ideal stylist with a unique sense of words. His poetics are nobly simple, the images are polished and jewel-like precise, the metaphors are sparse and invariably appropriate. Not bright and refined, deliberately devoid of external effects, these poems are surprisingly easy to perceive and remain in memory for a long time.
