On the Blue Comet

"The Blue Comet" is the queen of trains. Every boy dreams of receiving it as a gift. Oscar Ogilvy and his father built an almost real Transcontinental railroad in the basement - with mountains, canyons, bridges, and famous locomotives. But... the Great Depression begins, the father leaves to distant lands in search of work, and the "Blue Comet" now runs on tracks in the bank's lobby… Fortunately, Oscar befriends Mr. Applegate - a math teacher and follower of Einstein. Is it really true that time resembles a river, with all eras existing simultaneously along its banks? Oscar will cross all of America - in time and space - going from 1931 to 1941, and then to 1926, from Chicago to California, and then to New York. But how will this incredible journey end? Will Oscar be able to return home?
